Hotel is very well located in the city centre. Staff are friendly and took good care of me. Building is an old one but guest rooms are very comfortable. And we can stay for cheaper cost. Recommended hotel in Dublin, I will be back soon.

The Principal Hotel is located very centrally and the rooms & service are good. The construction site which we could see very closely from our window was not very pleasant but not as disturbing as other visitors have posted here. Staff was friendly.

The Hotel location was superb, there can not be a better one.
The staff was very helpful and friendly.
The rooms are excellent modern/ clean/ well supplied rooms.
All of the staff services that we used were extremely good.
The price was probably about right for the location and quality.
We didn't eat in the restaurant but it looked inviting.
We felt that being in the heart of Dublin made our visit very alive and a true Irish Holiday !
Thank you Hotel Principal staff and management

I had a great time at the Principal Hotel. It was centrally located, within walking distance of most of the major attractions in central Dublin as well as adjacent to Temple Bar. The staff was courteous and helpful.

I rented a car a couple of days and was able to park directly across the street from this hotel.

The room itself was clean and comfortable but a little warm. There was a towel warmer in the bathroom that was always turned on and was always very warm. There was a charge for making calling card phone calls from the room but the staff offered a phone in the lobby that could be used for free.

On my next trip to Dublin, I will certainly try to stay in this hotel again.

I only stayed for a night, but this is THE ideal place if you are looking for somewhere centrally located not only in TB, but Dublin as well. Service was good, showers great, water pressure was awesome, irons were made available, bed comfortable.
I was able to leave my bags for the entire day and they were perfectly safe. I didn't use the resturant. The room for the nice was the perfect price and the itenerary sent had all the information I needed.

Staff was very nice and had answers to all general questions.

My stay at the Principal Hotel could not be faulted. The location of this hotel is so good for Temple Bar, central sightseeing and the shops that it could still be forgiven if the standards were less than one might expect. This, however, is not the case - standards were impressively high, from the first welcome to the last goodbye. The accommodation was first rate, the staff were friendly and helpful and I will certainly be staying here again on my next visit to Dublin.

The hotel provides an ideal location in temple bar for an inexpensive stay. The rooms are small and the decor slightly dated but for the price still offer value for money.

Our family was staying just one night in Dublin on our way back from Western coast of Ireland. Because of the great location, we were able to just walk around and see many things within few hours. Room was good, everything was clean and staff friendly.

My niece and I stayed at The Principal the weekend of Easter. At first we were a bit concerned because it was at the end of our trip and it seemed to be located in the very lively Temple Bar district. We wanted to be near Temple Bar, but also were in need of sleep. It turned out perfect. We had a very comfortable stay and the location was great. We enjoyed the daytime bustle and nightlife energy of Temple Bar, but slept very soundly. While our room overlooked the busy pedestrian lane, the rooms were very very quiet. I will be in Ireland the entire month of July and would recommend the hotel to anyone coming over for a visit!
