Shopping
The most popular shopping area south of the Liffey is the upmarket district of Grafton Street and its surrounds. Here you will find Brown Thomas, one of the city's most prestigious department stores. Across the road from Brown Thomas is Marks & Spencer, a popular choice for clothes at moderate prices, with a good delicatessen/supermarket. Principles, Airwave, Monsoon, Vera Moda and Jigsaw are just a few of the middle-priced retailers in Grafton Street with high turnovers in fashionable clothing. Trendy stores for the under 25s are Oasis with outlets on both ends of Grafton Street (St Stephen's Green and Nassau Street) and Warehouse, Miss Selfridge and River Island, all on Grafton Street.
Other shopping centres in the Grafton Street area are the St Stephen's Green Centre, Dublin's largest shopping centre, at the top of Grafton Street, with about 100 shops selling just about anything you want. Nassau Street, at the end of Grafton Street is the place to go for traditional Irish gifts. House of Ireland, the Kilkenny Design Centre and the Blarney Woolen Mills all specialise in glass, crafts, bronze, knits, tweeds, Celtic jewellery and Aran sweaters.
