| The Ben Doran is an historic Georgian townhouse, carefully renovated to retain the period feeling while providing all the modern conveniences requested by our discerning guests. The atmosphere is tranquil, romantic and reminiscent of a more leisurely era. The Ben Doran staff strive to ensure a pleasant and memorable stay for all our guests and are eager to help with directions, transportation, dining out, tours, etc. The Ben Doran is centrally located for all Edinburgh attractions and is close to the University of Edinburgh, Royal Mile, Princes Street and City centre, museums, theatres, Holyrood Palace, Scottish Parliament, Waverly train station. A sumptuous buffet breakfast is included in the tariff, off-street parking is free, and wifi access is yours for a minimal fee. Rooms all have natural light and windows that open to reveal cityscape or views to Arthur's Seat. Most rooms are ensuite, but the budget-conscious can book a few rooms with shared baths. The Ben Doran is equipped with central heating, colour TV with freeview providing 30 channels, hair dryers, in-room telephones, Gilchrist & toiletries, clock/radios and room service until nine pm. Lunch boxes are available for days out and dinner is served in the restaurant from 6:30 until 8:30. Come stay and dine with us!
