Prime Hotel Majestic is a historical 4 stars hotel, placed in a wonderful, enviable location: the very heart of town, in front of Santa Maria Novella basilica and less than 100 metres from the train station bearing the same name as that church, close to the most interesting artistic and cultural sites and also near the congress and fair spots.

THE ROOMS
The hotel has got 103 rooms, all very spacious and comfortable, placed on four floors. Furniture and fittings stick to the classical style that patterns the whole hotel. The materials that were used are dark woodworks and leather, while a soft carpet covers the floor.
All rooms are equipped with private bathroom with shower or tub, hairdryer, air conditioning and heating systems, satellite TV, minibar, desk, direct outside line telephone, electronic safe. Baby cots are available on request. THE AREA
Walking around the folkloristic market of Borgo San Lorenzo, famous for sales of leather and accessories and watched over by the church it was named after, a delightful tour of the narrow streets of the centre will reveal you the manifold beauties of Tuscany capital city: the majestic Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, the fourth biggest church in Europe, with the huge masonry dome by Brunelleschi and the impressive facade with clear and dark marbles, and right in front of it the Baptistery, originally the real hub of the whole city; Palazzo Vecchio in Piazza della Signoria, now the city hall, in the past a house of the De' Medici family; the Galleria degli Uffizi, where one of the most important museums of the world is hold, keeping among many works of art, such masterpieces as "Birth of Venus" and "Spring" by Botticelli, sublime representative of the Florentine renaissance; Ponte Vecchio, perhaps the true symbol of Florence, with its typical jeweler and watchmaker small shops, hanging over the river. In the opposite direction, towards the railway station it gives name to, just 50 metres from the hotel, the astonishing basilica of Santa Maria Novella, whose facade was redesigned by a genius, Leon Battista Alberti, in an unique fusion of gothic and renaissance style. A little bit further, the fair and congressional area of the Fortezza da Basso, less than 1 km away.
