Some of the important attractions of Palermo are the cities Norman Cattedrale and the Saracen-Norman Spanish Palazzo Reale, a former Royal residence that is now the home of the local parliament. Other sights include La Martorana, an impressive Norman church with a Baroque décor, the imposing Teatro Massimo and Vucciria market.
