A very comfortable stay in a good location at a reasonable price. Edinburgh is my home town and I had chosen the location carefully to be close to Waverley station. It was really good to have a reasonably sized room with a single booking. I have just reccommended the Old Waverly to a friend. |

Good location for sites - museums, castle, train & bus connections, tour buses and resturants. Felt safe to wonder neighborhoods, people helpful when I was lost. Location is not a quiet street, but alive with activity of both tourist and business. You get a real flavor of the new and old of Edinburgh. Good stores in the area. The jewel is the park across the Princess Street! Looking forward to remodel - but don't lose your old world charm! |

Excellent service. This was my first time to stay in this hotel and Edinburgh as well but thanks to very nice hotel staff I really enjoyed my stay in Edinburgh. Would stay at this hotel again if I came to this city someday. |

We had a thoroughly enjoyable couple of days in Edingburgh at the Old Waverley Hotel. We found the maitre d' in the restaurant to be most helpful and ensured that we had a good table for our breakfast. The food was reasonable. The reception staff were most helpful and courteous. The Old Waverley was situated ideally for most of the major sights and attractions. I fell in love with Edingburgh and thought the people were very friendly. Would love the opportunity to stay again sometime. |

I sat down to breakfast and was stunned by the view - Princess Street gardens were carpeted in a golden glory of daffodils, a Grecian Temple (the Art Gallery) as backdrop, Scot's fairytale Monument in the foreground and the whole overseen by the dramatic Castle above. To have this rounded off with Haggis and scrambled eggs was heaven - what a find is the Old Waverly. I must return. |

Old Waverley Hotel has a very good location facing the famous monument and the great castle. It's in 5 minute walking distance from the train station, the tourist information centre, post office and the shopping centre. The staff there were very friendly and introduced many sights in highland and Scottland to us. It's a nice hotel so I choosed to lengthen the stay there for 3 nights. I will choose Old Waverley when I go to Edinburgh next time. |
