Lake House manages to combine grandeur and intimacy in private surroundings for all occasions. Each of the 12 bedrooms are decorated and fitted to the highest standards, all en-suite with luxury fluffy bathrobes, TV with DVD, CD players and tea/coffee making facilities. Some superior rooms feature four poster beds and have the best views over Lake Windermere.

Traditional Lakeland breakfast is served in the dining room with an array of continental breads, cereals, smoked fish and fruit with wonderful lake and mountain views. Full English is set out for you to help yourself and there are trays for you to take it all up to your room if you so wish - breakfast in bed do it yourself style!!

Dinner can be enjoyed at our award winning sister hotel, The Regent, a two minute walk away approximately(400 yards) away Three courses and coffee is around £20.00 per person and the hotel has been awarded an AA Rosette for the quality and consistency of excellent food using local produce. You can also make use of the indoor heated swimming pool with jet stream at the Regent.

Across the road from the Lake House is the boating jetty from which you can take a steamer to Bowness-on-Windermere and around the Lake. The centre of Ambleside is a five minute walk or so into town.
