 From the M6 South (London, Birmingham)
Take the M6 J19 (Knutsford) exit. At the next roundabout visitors should take the 3rd exit A556 for Manchester. Follow A556 for approximately 4 miles to the next roundabout. From here take 3rd exit M56 towards Manchester and follow M56 which leads directly to the A5103. Follow the dual carriageway for 7 miles following the signs for city centre. At the roundabout take 2nd exit following the signs for GMEX which leads you onto Medlock Street. Take 2nd lights right onto Great Bridgewater Street (by the side of Bridgewater Hall), go through next lights (McDonalds on right) into Portland Street. Go through 1st lights, take 2nd left onto Charlotte street. Take the second right hand turn onto Georges street followed by a right hand turn onto York Street. The hotel is located 100 yards from here on the left hand side up a spiral ramp.
From the M61 North (Preston)
Travelling from the North take the exit M6 J30 (for Manchester)onto the M61. From here take the exit at J2 onto A580 which leads directly towards the A6. Travel along the A6 for approximately 5 miles through a set of traffic lights with signs for Trinity Way. At the next set of traffic lights take a turn for New Bailey Street and at the 5th set of traffic lights turn left into Portland Street. Go through 1st lights, take 2nd left onto Charlotte street. Take the second right hand turn onto Georges street followed by a right hand turn onto York Street. The hotel is located 100 yards from here on the left hand side up a spiral ramp.
From the M62 West (Liverpool)
Exit J12 onto M602 and get into A57 lane for Manchester. Follow until Harry Ramsden's on the right at lights, turn left into Water Street. Continue past the Victoria & Albert Hotel, take next right into Quay Street, continue until Crowne Plaza Hotel is on the right. Go through lights, at next lights, turn left into Portland Street. Go through 2 sets of lights, take 2nd left into Charlotte Street and follow directions as above*.
From the M60 East (Leeds)
Travelling from Leeds take the motorway exit M60 J17 (Manchester). Travel along A56 (Bury New Road) for approximately 5 miles. Tavel along onto Victoria Street which merges into Deansgate. You will see Kendals department store on your right and at the next major junction turn left into John Dalton Street, which merges onto Princess Street. At the 3rd set of traffic lights turn right onto Portland Street followed by the a left hand turn after the first set of traffic lights onto Charlotte street. Take the second right hand turn onto Georges street followed by a right hand turn onto York Street. The hotel is located 100 yards from here on the left hand side up a spiral ramp.
From Sheffield or Derbyshire
Visitors should take the A57 or A6 to Ardwick. At the Ardwick roundabout take the exit for the city centre. At the 3rd set of traffic lights turn right onto Portland Street followed by the a left hand turn after the first set of traffic lights onto Charlotte street. Take the second right hand turn onto Georges street followed by a right hand turn onto York Street. The hotel is located 100 yards from here on the left hand side.
