| About Hotel Santa Marina |
| Faced on the homonimous Square, the Hotel Santa Marina was originally a nunnery (1500-1850) and as the legend tells, Santa Marina lived here . We can still admire a wonderful majolica capital on an external wall of the building. At the end of 18th century the convent was turned into other uses, until the end of eighties, when il became an Hotel. It was wholly restructrured between 1995-2004 as to have now a typical Venetian atmosphere with its 18th century furniture and tapestry. All rooms have bathroom with bathtub or shower, air conditioned, sat-tv, telephone, minibar and all modern comforts. For our most discriminating guests, we can offer some Junior Suite and superior rooms, with warm parquet flooring, elegant walnut furniture, finely worked tapestries, and all fitted with whirlpool baths. We also offer: 1 dining room and 1 terrace where guests can take our buffet-breakfast in the morning. Our courtyard offer a very relaxing atmosphere, there our guests can have a drink in the evening. The sitting room is the ideal place to read or relax. The Hotel is in the very heart of Venice but in a very and really quiet position, which is our pecularity; in 10 minutes walking you can reach St.Mark's Sq. and Rialto Bridge, but at the same time we are not in the crowded turistic area. It's very easy to reach us by public boat to Rialto Boat Station or better by private water taxi, we have a private landing-stage, which is the best way from the airport.
