Cerro de Hijar recreates a typical Andalusian Hacienda with a central 'patio' (court-yard) and spacious rooms, mixing ancient and modern elements in order to satisfy all expectations.

Other amenities include the wide living area with open fire place and the exterior swimming pool, which offers breath taking panoramic views of the Andalusian landscapes.

The little village Tolox is about 45 minutes drive from Málaga and in one of the most beautiful regions of the highlands around Ronda, the so called Serranía de Ronda.

The village is of typically Arabic style, with narrow alleys and white washed houses, exuberantly decorated with flowers. Special highlights are the remains of the castles' town walls, which are still of Phoenician origin and the church with its three naves, dating from the XVI century.

Very typical for Tolox are the sweets, elaborated on the base of 'fig bread'.

The local festivities are celebrated on the 16th August honouring Saint Roque, the towns' patron and terminate in splendid fireworks, exploding some 24,000 rockets in just about 2 hours. The 8th December the youngsters are all on the street, making lots of noise with cattle bells and horns in order to remember a celebration of the Arabic times of the towns history.
