In contrast to Blackpool, just along the coast is Lytham, here you can enjoy peaceful parks, beautiful gardens and admire the old half-timbered buildings. There is a fine promenade and lovely sandy beach. Close to the promenade is the famous Lytham Green and Windmill. Lytham has an excellent shopping Centre, with many quaint shops as well as the larger stores.
