| About Donington Manor Hotel |
| A beautifully appointed Manor House, constructed in 1794 as a coaching inn on the main route from Nottingham to Ashby. It was originally named the 'Rawdon Hotel' and was conceived and built by the Marquis of Hastings. Now a privately owned hotel providing a high level of service and intimacy, which is difficult to find in larger hotels. The hotel provides ample free parking, complimentary Wi FI access, good food and drink and state of the art conference facilities. Every bedroom at Donington Manor is unique. Many of guests take great joy in returning time and time again to their favourite room. There are rooms to suit most budgets and tastes. Some are cosy and simple, some are grand and imposing. Some are sleek and contemporary, and some are gloriously antique. All bedrooms come with complimentary WiFi access and tea and coffee making facilities. Many bedrooms enjoy unrestricted garden views and most bedrooms have overhead showers as well as bathtubs. The AA rosette recommended restaurant's resident chef Jeff Cadden, is a master of all things unpretentious, wholesome and home cooked. He is also a firm believer in value for money, so you can enjoy a lunch for just £8.95 mid-week, or a three-course dinner for just £19.95. The restaurant has a very loyal local following in Castle Donington and its surrounding villages, so please avoid disappointment by booking ahead. And don't worry, Donington Manor may date from the 18th Century but we have a 21st Century attitude towards comfort and relaxation. For weddings, functions and conferences, Castle Donington is perfectly situated right in the centre of the country and less than five minutes drive from both the M1 and A50, and Nottingham East Midlands Airport. All of the meeting rooms enjoy WiFi access and natural daylight. There are many interesting things to see and do in Castle Donington and a short journey from the hotel along Market Street to Borough Street - is the largely unaltered late 18th/19th century main shopping street. The Church of St Edward the Martyr is a splendid example of 12th Century ecclesiastical building boasting fine tombs with excellent brass-rubbing possibilities, and a very rare architectural feature: a 'double-squint'. A short distance away, along the delightful narrow street called Apiary Gate is the old stone-built house which opened in Easter 2000 as the new village museum.
