The Ammende Villa is a striking sight. One moment you were walking in a tranquil and charming small spa town, then you set eyes upon a grand house that would be at home in Vienna or Paris. A house with turrets, towers, verandas and canopies from the Jugendstil period. Ammende Villa is a stunning example of the style so typical of the turn of the 20th century. It was designed and built in 1904 by the order of Herman Ammende, a wealthy merchant from Pärnu. The pride of this prosperous merchant can still be felt in Ammende Villa. The central hallway opens up to the second floor which has an imposing balcony. The function rooms of the building are decorated as saloons and halls.

One can read the menu in the peaceful atmosphere of the stylish Red Salon, enjoy good music in the Green Salon or have a coffee and a cigar and play genuine Russian billiards in the Cigar Salon. Cooks trained in France prepare elegant French and Mediterranean dishes, and the restaurant offers a choice of classical Old World wines. Everything in Ammende Villa reflects good old traditional quality and style. The impressive suites on the second floor are furnished with renovated original furniture from the early 20th century, whilst sympathetically incorporating modern facilities.

There is a bathroom in each suite and a sauna and Jacuzzi in the Luxury Suite. 11 comfortably furnished rooms are situated in the Gardener's House. Each room has a shower, satellite TV and telephone. Despite modern amenities the air of belle époque reigns in this house forever.
